Exploring Advanced Sequencing: Demystifying the Anatomy of a Yoga Class

Saturday, August 17 - Sunday, August 18, 12:30 - 6:30 pm

Get ready to dive deep into the behind-the-scenes of yoga classes in this 10-hour module! We'll be unraveling how each class evolves from a simple idea to the serene stillness of śavāsana.

Throughout this journey, we'll dissect how different yoga poses fit together, creating sequences that unfold seamlessly from start to finish. Whether it's a gentle āsana sequence or a more intricate flow, you'll learn how to guide students through each step with ease.

Participants will:

  • Break down the components of poses, sequences, and entire classes to understand how they come together.

  • Craft sequences that smoothly transition from one end of the mat to the other, ensuring a sense of continuity and grounding.

  • Discover techniques to navigate through complex sequences, making them feel effortless and enjoyable for both you and your students.

  • Unravel the significance of peak poses and learn how to build up to them for that 'aha' moment.

  • Experiment with creative sequencing, so you can learn how to tailor classes to suit different levels and preferences.

Get ready to elevate your yoga teaching, by making classes engaging and inclusive for all who step onto the mat with you!
